Setting the privacy option
Using the privacy feature, you can password protect your media contents, such as picture messages, voice messages, voice memos, images, and sounds.
NOTE: The default password is 12345. You will have to type a password to access the selected menus.
To set the privacy option, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Settings.
3. Scroll to and select Security, and then select Security Level.
4. Type the security code, and then select OK.
5. Select None, Memory, or Phone.
6. Select Save.

Enabling and disabling the SIM card PIN code
The SIM card PIN code is used to protect the SIM card from being used in other phones. When you enable the SIM card PIN code, the phone will prompt you to type the code after turning it on.
NOTE: The default PIN is 1234.
To enable and disable the SIM card PIN code, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Settings.
3. Scroll to and select Security, and then select PIN code request.
4. Type the current PIN, and then select OK.
5. Select On or Off.

Changing the SIM card PIN code
NOTE: The default PIN is 1234.
To change the SIM card PIN code, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Settings.
3. Scroll to and select Security, select Access codes, and then select Change PIN code.
NOTE: The SIM card PIN code request security feature must be turned on to change the PIN code. For more information, go to Enabling and disabling the SIM card PIN code.
4. Type the current PIN, and then select OK.
5. Type the new PIN, and then select OK.
6. Re-type the new PIN, and then select OK. The PIN will be changed.

Enabling and disabling the phone lock
With the phone lock enabled, the phone will lock any time it is turned off, and you will need to type a password when you turn the phone back on.
NOTE: The default password is 12345.
To enable and disable the phone lock, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Settings.
3. Scroll to and select Phone, and then select Security keyguard.
4. Type the current password, and then select OK.
5. Select On or Off.

Changing the password
The phone password is used when you perform a master reset and master clear.
NOTE: The default password is 12345.
To change the password, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Settings.
3. Scroll to and select Security, select Access codes, and then select Change security code.
4. Type the current password, and then select OK.
5. Type the new password, and then select OK.
6. Re-type the new password, and then select OK. The password will be changed.
